ABOUT US

Positive Health Care, Inc. (PHCI) is a not-for-profit organization in Newark, New Jersey. PHCI has been providing services in New Jersey for over 30 years to people living with HIV/AIDs.  It was formed in 1990 and incorporated in 1992. PHCI was born from a collective commitment to promote positive change within our community. At our core,
we believe every individual deserves access to essential resources, support, and opportunities that foster personal growth and well-being.


Our agency addresses a broad spectrum of societal needs, from advocating for vulnerable populations to offering comprehensive social support services. Over the years, we've forged partnerships with local authorities, nonprofits, and community stakeholders to amplify our impact and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
Our initiatives encompass a diverse array of services tailored to meet the distinct needs of our most vulnerable community members living with HIV/AIDS.

Positive Social Services Agency is a team of dedicated professionals and volunteers driven by compassion, empathy, and a shared vision for a more equitable society. We are committed to innovating and adapting our services to address evolving community needs while upholding the highest standards of ethical practice and service delivery.

Here is a timeline of PHCI:

  • 1990: Agency was formed.

  • 1992: PHCI was incorporated.

  • 1997: Transitional Housing Facility was opened.

  • 2002: PHCI acquired its first Permanent Supportive Housing Project. Currently, PHCI has ten properties with 21 units.
